Your privacy is critically important to us. At PausePoint, our fundamental principle is that your data belongs to you.

1. Data Collection

PausePoint is a local-first application. This means:

• Everything stays on your device: Your settings, usage stats, intention logs, and session history are stored locally on your computer's hard drive (`settings.json`).
• No Cloud Sync: We do not send your usage data, intentions, or browsing history to any external server. We cannot see how you use the app.

2. Internet Access

The application only accesses the internet for the following purposes:

• Microsoft Store Updates: To check for application updates if installed via the Store.
• License Verification (Pro Users): For School/Bulk licenses, the app may perform a one-time check against our licensing server to validate your key. This transaction only sends the key itself, not your usage data.

3. Local Data Storage

All application data is stored in your user profile directory. You are free to inspect, backup, or delete this data at any time by clearing the application settings or uninstalling the app.
